Hyrox Performance Clinic held at The Secret Lab

The Hyrox Performance Clinic, held at The Secret Lab and orchestrated by Coach Diaz, is unlike anything you may have done before. In a weekend, you will partake in a battery of clinical evaluations that will clearly reveal how your body responds to training—specifically, a Hyrox Competition.

Your journey will begin with a VO2 max test on a treadmill to identify your metabolic response to running.  This test will reveal your VO2 max and concurrent shifts in your energy demands. How many calories do you expend, from which path of your energy system, and the associated shift into untenable lactate production?

You will then participate in a “performance” gait analysis video. Once the video is captured, Coach Diaz will share what he sees on a big screen in his lab. He will break down your unique nuances, what needs corrections, and why, and then teach you how to effectively improve your running gait to reduce injuries and enhance your performance.

Then, there are two more clinical evaluations: a Concept 2 Rowing matching and a Ski erg. Each of these three challenges is unique in how you deliver your efforts. One test, for example, a treadmill, does not accurately portray these accounts. Once the assessments are concluded, you will use this information in a mock-compromised training setting. Running is interspersed with the challenges you would face in a Hyrox competition. Coach Diaz refers to this as “Trial by Fire.”

On the final day, all of this information will be dissected and explained, along with training recommendations based on the data collected and the real-world outcomes from the mock trial.

If you are serious about your competitions at any level—making the Elite 15, getting to the World Championships, or simply interested in being the best you can be—you had better register now! Due to the demands of producing these assessments in two days, we can only take a handful of athletes.
